Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a burglary at an industrial unit in Henley.
Between 8.30pm and 9pm yesterday (30/12) offenders forced entry to Henley Country Sports at Friar Park Stables, in Gravel Hill. They stole items including shotguns in the incident.
Detectives are investigating the burglary and officers have been in the area conducting enquiries.
Investigating officer Det Con Charlie Ellis, from Oxfordshire Force CID, said: “I would like to appeal to the public as it is believed a vehicle was parked outside the property on the opposite verge while the burglary was taking place. Did you see this vehicle? If you have any information, regardless of how insignificant you think this may be, please contact police.
“I would also like to appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area at around the time of the incident. It took place at a time when people may have still been passing the area.
“Detectives are investigating the circumstances of the burglary and we are currently working to identify and locate the offenders.
“We are currently in the early stages of the investigation and are working to establish all of the items which have been stolen. I understand people locally could be concerned however I would like to make it clear there currently is no information to suggest that the items stolen will be used in connection with a particular incident.
“If anyone is offered any property they believe could be stolen, please contact police, to enable us to apprehend those responsible and recover the property.”
Anyone with any information about the incident should contact the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
