2013 has seen Henley Synchronised Swimming Club travelling the country and bringing home medals from several prestigious competitions. The events were both regional and national, and took place in Nottingham, Kent, Croydon and Gloucester. Over the course of the year the club brought home a total of 3 Gold, 7 Silver and 3 Bronze Medals awarded for both team and individual swims.
The final event for 2013 was the club’s annual show which took place at Henley Leisure Centre on Sunday 8 December. This was a great opportunity for the girls to showcase the medal winning routines to parents and friends. Afterwards, club awards were presented by the Coaches to mark various end of year achievements which included:
Most Improved Swimmer – Chelsea Holliday
Highest Attendance Award – Caroline Wilkinson
Most Promising Newcomer – Ruby Sarney
Special Individual Achievement Award – Lexi Scott
Also presented were a total of 16 medals comprising 7 Gold, 5 Silver and 4 Bronze, awarded at the Oxfordshire County Figures Championships in November.
The girls and Coaches have already started work on their new routines for 2014 before taking a well-earned break for Christmas.
