As part of its ongoing growth and development, Henley on Thames based accessible bathrooms specialist, Absolute Mobility, has taken on John Rowles and David Ewens as General Manager and Sales Manager respectively. Absolute Mobility was established by Darren O’Connell and Ross Edwards with the aim of providing accessible bathing products so people are able to remain independent in their home. With the aid of walk in baths and showers, users can make their bathing experience more comfortable, and avoid unnecessary costs such as moving into a care home. Now, nearly five years on, the company is thriving and is considering an exciting expansion programme in 2014. This has led to the appointments of John and David to help drive the business forward.
John has taken over the general management of the company, including developing new business from referral schemes and marketing initiatives. “My background is in operations management. I wanted to use my skills and experience in a new, growing company which makes a positive difference in people’s lives,” he explained. “It is a small but great team of people here at Absolute Mobility and the products are fantastic – they help to make a great, positive impact on the lives of those who use them and it is for this reason I feel proud to be a part of the team.”
David, a keen traveller, is responsible for managing all sales activity within the company and making sure that the customer experience is outstanding right from the initial contact through to the after sales service. Part of his time will be devoted to creating and establishing relationships with mobility companies, occupational therapists and bathroom installers who do not currently market their products, in order to form a mutually beneficial business relationship. David comes from a lifetime spent working with a list of major companies within a customer facing sales environment, giving him a strong footing at Absolute Mobility. “This is a fantastic company to work for,” he says. “I believe the number one consideration for any company should be the customer service experience, which is absolutely superb here. It is a very caring company – for example, we rarely ever go and see elderly customers without a relative of theirs present, for their peace of mind. Our after sales service is impeccable, even after the warranty on the product has ended. I am delighted to be a part of the team and look forward to helping them drive the business forward.”
