Pride in Your Place Winners Clean Up

Dave Eggleton and Paula Isaac from the Gainsborough Residents Association continued their campaign and projects to ‘makeover’ the estate on Saturday morning with a clean up of the roads and pavements by residents with some help from Henley Gardening Buddies; Liz Hodgkin and Viv.  Gainsborough recently won the Henley in Bloom Pride in Your Place Award and the residents want to build on the success of this award. Soha Housing also organised and paid for a skip to be available to residents to get rid of any unwanted items from their houses and gardens.

Dave and Paula said, “It’s surprising what a difference it makes by just cleaning the curb edges and the pavements to the look of the estate.”

The Close also took part in this initiative which was organised by resident Pat Main.
