Challenge Henley Moves to Weymouth

Following a week of eager anticipation, the team at Challenge UK are excited to announce that the 2014 event will be held in the coastal town of Weymouth, Dorset.  The event has been held in Henley for the last 3 years but has caused a lot problems with the roads being closed for 12 hours.

Famous for it’s fine Georgian seafront and long golden, sandy beaches; the views from Weymouth bay are truly spectacular and make for quite a unique new race site.

And that’s not all. As Weymouth and Portland was a host venue for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic sailing events, the area has hugely benefited from the ‘Olympic Legacy’, with improvements made across all sectors; from local transport and tourism to infrastructure and roads.

Are you pleased that it’s moved or do you think it should have stayed?  Please leave your comments below.
