Helen Jones is the new Head Teacher at Trinity Primary School. Previously she has been a successful Head Teacher for the last 5 years at Farnham Common Junior School in Buckinghamshire and previously a Deputy Head teacher at a Primary School in Maidenhead and Assistant Headteacher in a large Middle School in Windsor. Before qualifying as a teacher, she worked for six years as a Medical Biochemist for the National Health Service having gained a BSc Honours degree at Birmingham University.
She says, “I also love teaching; especially science, mathematics and literacy and believe whole heartedly that good relationships between teachers, children and parents are fundamental to the success of any school and the progress of children.
Securing and sharing a vision for a school is an essential starting point since a clear vision shapes our thinking and our direction. I feel strongly that this is something that the whole school community needs to contribute towards so that there is shared ownership and belief.”
She believes that education is about developing the whole person, socially, emotionally and spiritually as well as academically.
Helen has lots of plans for the school and she’d like to get local people and businesses involved too. If you’d like to do some community work, Helen would love to hear from you.
